With the corona virus outbreak, we have all become aware of the importance of the job nurses do. It has become obvious it is not just a job, it is more a vocation as they put their own health selflessly at risk for the sake of others.
World Health Organization has designated 2020 as the Year of the Nurse and Midwife to demonstrate how nurses are central to addressing a wide range of health challenges and to attract a new generation into the nursing family. This year it will also be the 200th anniversary of the birth of the founder of modern nursing Florence Nightingale. Due to the current situation, the year is marked by expressing gratitude and support to medical personnel who fight against the virus on the front line.
The primary role of nurses is certainly the care and support of patients during illness. They watch patient’s condition closely and report to doctors who make decisions about further treatment together with the whole team. Nurses relive symptoms and help with the treatment. They are indispensable in communication with patients who need to be well informed about their treatment and of course they need emotional support.
Countries all around the world have taken the measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic that stops our lives completely. If ensuring your own safety and safety of others means staying at home for us, it means being available for other people for others. In particular, this is true for all the medical stuff who risk their own health for the well-being of others. If we only take a look across our border, we can see superhuman efforts and selflessness. We certainly cannot imagine how we could overcome this crisis without them.
During the pandemic, we at Novak M wish to support medical personnel and their work. Our business activities could not stop although we have faced difficulties. We are doing our best to provide hospitals and other healthcare institutions with the equipment they need as quick as possible. We are at your service if you need us.
