5 tips for your treatment table’s good looks

Here are 5 tips on how to tend your treatment table’s padding. Regular care even with consistent use day in and day out will help you ensure a long and productive life of the table in your practice.

1. Clean your table on a regular basis

Regular cleaning is important in several aspects. By maintaining strict sanitation standards, the spreading of diseases is prevented, which is very important in particular for elderly or immunosuppressed patients. At the same time, the cleanliness of the practice is often the deciding factor if the patients/clients are satisfied and they will come for further treatment. We recommend cleaning on a regular basis using just a mixture of soap and water and don’t forget to let it dry off completely. More on cleaning read here.

2. Remove the stains

Regular cleaning of the treatment table prevents staining which becomes more and more persistent with each passing day and spoils the appearance of the table. In massage or beauty studios, it often happens that drops of oil or some other cosmetic product land on the upholstery. These stains should be removed as soon as possible with a mixture of soap and water. Also, any drops of blood should be removed immediately as well, but with cold water.

3. Don’t use

All practitioners and other staff in your massage studio, beauty salon or physiotherapy practice should be familiar with how to take care of the padding. Abrasive cleaners, solvents, acetone or acids should not be used as they can damage the upholstery.

4. Disinfection

Since the epidemic, disinfection has become even more important. The upholstery should be cleaned and dried completely before disinfection. For a detailed list of recommended disinfectants by the imitation leather manufacturer, please contact our sales team or your dealer.

5. Accessories supporting hygiene

When buying a treatment table, consider accessories that support ensuring the proper hygiene. Adding a roll paper holder assures a clean area is ready for each of your clients quickly and the upholstery protected. A PVC cover for the leg section is particularly convenient if your clients settle on the table without taking off their shoes. This might be particularly important for combined use of treatment tables.
