Here are 5 points to easily distinguish between the S line and the S-basic models:

1. Height adjustment

The essential advantage of the S-line electric tables is that they feature a circular switch as standard. It is integrated into the base allowing for height adjustment with your foot from all sides of the table. This comes especially handy when you move around the patient during treatments. Bobath tables feature a hand switch since their table top is 100 or 120 cm wide.

Several models among massage and therapy tables can feature hydraulic height adjustment. It is easier if you move the table a lot since you don’t have to worry about the cables and sockets. Tables then feature a foot pedal on both sides.

S-basic models are electric tables with a simple foot switch. In many cases this switch is sufficient if you do not need to access patients from all sides of the table.

2. Padding

The S and S-basic models all feature an 8 cm thick padding. Depending on the treatments that will be performed on the table, you can choose between soft and firm foam padding.  The soft foam padding is more comfortable, while the firm-foam padding is more responsive and appropriate for physio treatments.

The S line padding is finished at a right angle, while the S basic padding flattens towards the edge. The usable surface of the right-angled padding is wider as much as 7 cm on each side. This means the most when patients’ hands don’t slide off the table during treatment and when patients roll over from their back to stomach and vice versa.

S-line treatment tables feature welded and taped seams around the breathing hole. This prevents penetration of oils into the upholstery, but regular cleaning is still essential. Basic treatment tables feature conventional stitched seams.

3. Retractable castors

All treatment tables are equipped with retractable castors as part of standard equipment. This comes very handy if it is used for different treatments in different rooms. However, S line electric and hydraulic models feature an additional shock absorber built into the mechanism. It ensures that castors come down softly.

4. Safe working load

The basic models have a safe working load of 200 kg, while the standard S line’s safe working load is 250 kg.

5. Three-part head section

All therapy and massage tables can optionally feature a three-part head section. With S – basic models, the armrests adjust individually by means of a simple screw mechanism. With the S line tables, the adjustment mechanism is integrated into the frame. The height of both armrests can be adjusted at the same time by simply pushing one of the armrests down or up.
