Hand in hand with new technologies

Further development of our business in foreign markets and the improvement of international competitiveness are two main goals of the e-business investment. The new website in six languages, web shop, presenting our products at online exhibition MedicalExpo, workshops and a new corporate video are the five measures co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund.

At Novak M, we are well aware that for a company to grow and succeed, it is necessary to adapt to new developments and implement the latest information and communication technologies and knowledge. To pursue this goal, in 2018, we participated in the “E-COMMERCE 2019–2022” public tender for the establishment or upgrade of e-commerce in small and medium-sized enterprises in the 2019–2022 period. Our investment in IT development is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund within the framework of the European cohesion policy (www.eu-skladi.si).

As part of the Novak M e-commerce project, we worked with Optiweb to redesign our website for foreign markets; in addition to Slovenian, the website is now available in five foreign languages. The updated content, new design elements and features adapted to mobile devices will make the experience even more user-friendly. A major step forward is our online product configurator, linking our website, the online store and our back end system. Our customers can now configure the products according to their needs and preferences. This allows them to get a better idea of the product and how it can be used. The configurator will also facilitate the work of our sales teams, as they will be able to more easily present to the client all possibilities offered by a product. The configurations can also be stored and used as the basis to prepare concrete offers. The configurator is also a new feature of the purchasing process not offered by competitors.

To make the purchases even easier for our international customers, our products will be available in the online store accessible in English and German. The purchase path runs through the configurator, enabling the customers to get an idea of the product, as well as options for accessories. The customers can thus obtain the information about the price of the configuration, submit an inquiry or make the purchase. We have also ensured the necessary digital security.

As part of the competence building and training, Optiweb prepared workshops for our employees in sales and marketing to enable them to use the features newly implemented in the company’s processes and take advantage of the possibilities they offer. New models of online marketing and sales, internal process optimization and digital jobs are definitely challenges that lie ahead.

The company also made progress regarding the digitalization of our presence at fairs. We have submitted the application and designed the content for our presentation at the MedicalExpo online fair. An online showroom brings together suppliers and customers in the field of medical equipment from around the world. We are convinced that a presentation at such a fair will increase our visibility.

We also recorded a new product sales video of our company, which you can watch here. This project was realized in collaboration with the excellent EkVisuals video team. The shooting took place at our corporate headquarters in Dietikon, Switzerland, and Komenda, Slovenia. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the Wil and Affoltern hospitals in Switzerland, and Klinika Dr. Fabjan, Slovenia, for generously lending us their premises.

We are not afraid of new challenges! Thanks to all our collaborators on this project.
